The Director of Festival of Tibet Tenzin Choegyal brings Whispering Sky. Embark on a captivating journey through sound and spirit with WHISPERING SKY, a new collaborative performance featuring Tibetan singer-songwriter Tenzin Choegyal, the Black Square String Quartet, and composer/multi-instrumentalist Cye Wood. This unique fusion of traditional Tibetan music, contemporary string arrangements, and experimental soundscapes delves into themes of impermanence, interconnectedness, and the cycle of life. Drawing from Tenzin’s latest album Whispering Sky, the performance merges intricate improvisations, original songs, and scored compositions by Katherine Philp. Experience the structured and the spontaneous as these world-class musicians create an evolving soundscape that celebrates the joy of living and dying
